we exist To Pour Life into life-givers.

Generally speaking, the Western Christian world has become quite good at equipping pastors with sound theology and then sending them out. Once they have been sent out, however, we often fail at supporting them in the long-run.

La Vie’s mission is to be a safe respite in all possible stages of a pastor’s life. Through the grace of God, we want to replenish the runners, revive the faint-hearted and rebuild the broken. We do this by providing a hospitable, beautiful place for ministering families to receive encouragement and/or counselling.

  • This type of care should be a constant in a ministering family’s life. To prevent from breaking down, we all need set-apart times to enjoy, rest and celebrate the things God has given us - and so do our pastors!

La Vie offers this type of “pit stop” in two different ways: Pastors and their families can either come for a short, refreshing stay or enjoy the fellowship of other pastors at one of our pastor’s retreats.

  • Sometimes, a series of events leads to a point where more is needed than a quick “pit stop”. For some, this need is paired with exhaustion, hurt and doubts.

During longer stays (one week - two months), La Vie’s goal is to help revive the pastor’s joy, marriage and mission by offering experienced pastor-to-pastor counselling and care.

  • This type of care is for those who have been forced to leave the ministry, for whatever reason. Be it burn-out, sin or conflicts within the church, pastors who have ended up at this point cannot be expected to wrestle through these crisis alone.

Pastors and their families might be struggling with a certain measure of identity loss at this point. La Vie longs to see these formerly ministering families built up, encouraged and counselled during their stay.
